The war on germs has a new weapon

We appear to be living in an age of deadly pathogens that are more infectious than anything science has encountered in generations. When faced with such a pandemic, people will react in a variety of ways to deal with it. Most will agree with state guidelines to quarantine themselves and wash their hands often, use liquid sanitizers and wear masks covering the nose and mouth. Although some will rebel at such restrictive measures, if they are responsible citizens they will comply, if only to protect others. Meanwhile, in the scientific community there are industrious specialists in the field who are confronting the war on germs with innovative products and services. One of the soldiers in that war is Dr. Emily Hunt, a faculty member and researcher at West Texas A&M University.

Dr. Hunt joined the College of Engineering in 2005. She received B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from Texas Tech University in 2001, 2002 and 2005, respectively. In 2009, Dr. Hunt developed an idea to protect soldiers and civilians from biological weapons of mass destruction such as anthrax. She was awarded funding from the National Science Foundation and the United States Department of Defense to pursue antimicrobial research. She performed the basic science necessary to transform the idea into a working prototype which was subsequently adopted by the US Department of Defense for use in military breathing masks. A research team was then formed to leverage this expertise in the field of antimicrobials to create simple, safe, and effective solutions that protect people and assets from the dangers of microbial contamination.

Their latest innovation is Copper Clean Antimicrobial Surface Patches, which is being supplied to businesses and institutions throughout the world to protect high-touch surfaces from harmful pathogens. Dr. Hunt, President of Copper Clean, granted a remote interview from her Canyon, Texas office to explain how the patches work. For more info about the company: www.copperclean.com

David Magee - Master of the Mind

After 25 years of traveling across our country and around the world, David Magee brings his new show, The Experience, to the Fort Worth Club.
The Experience is an interactive, intimate evening featuring the incredible skills of Entertainer and Mentalist David Magee. The show is set in the historic and prestigious Fort Worth Club in downtown Fort Worth, Texas. The Experience caters to only 54 guests, guaranteeing every guest a personal experience by giving them the opportunity to witness each effect up close.
In the early 1900’s, with the invention of the public address and amplification systems, entertainment changed forever. Small intimate gatherings gave way to large crowds and audiences in massive event facilities, tearing away at the intimacy of entertainment. “I have long believed the best way to experience the art form of sleight of hand and mentalism is in smaller more intimate audiences”, says Magee. The Experience has been a project David has wanted to bring to the Dallas/Fort Worth area for years and the timing seemed perfect after March 2020, when it became apparent that this intimate setting would be the most prudent way to entertain. This style of show has been a sell out in New York, Boston, and Los Angeles, and is now available for you to witness, The Experience.

Tony Jeary interview at The Results Center in Lakeside DFW - Part 1

Tony Jeary interview at The Results Center in Lakeside DFW - part 2

Tony Jeary interview at The Results Center in Lakeside, DFW - Part 3

Recently, I was invited to do an interview of some North Texas leaders in order to highlight the historical achievements of those who helped build the communities we cherish today. The interview was conducted at The Results Center, a think tank in Flower Mound, staffed by a team of executive strategists with years of experience in building successful careers. Although I had driven past it several times since its construction about a year ago, this was my first time entering the attractive edifice at the intersection of Lakeside Pkwy. and Surrey Lane. It was then that I first met the owner, Tony Jeary. My first impression of him was that he’s a guy with amazing people skills.

That impression has been reinforced each time we get together. Comfortable in his own skin, Tony has a natural affability that makes everyone around him feel like they’ve just run into an old friend.  Moreover, the confidence he enthusiastically exudes makes it evident why so many people come to him for advice on building their businesses and their personal success. In the video interview (below), Tony talks about how he built his career and the many companies and individuals that have come to him for advice on building theirs. As part of the interview, Tony takes me on a tour of his amazing Lakeside complex.

The Results Center, 2591 Lakeside Parkway, Flower Mound, serves as the headquarters for Tony Jeary International, where Tony helps high-achieving, top-performing organizations and leaders accelerate their results at a level and pace many never thought possible. Tony Jeary is known as the “results guy” because he has earned a reputation as someone who can develop the untapped potential in all of us. Have you been working hard for years, but haven’t achieved the level of success you sought? Maybe it’s because you haven’t been working with a strategic plan to get you where you want to be. If you were leaving on a road trip, you’d know which roads to travel in order to get to your desired destination. Suppose you wanted to drive from Dallas to Houston. Well, with Houston as your goal, you’d map out the best way to get there. You wouldn’t leave your driveway and simply drive south; would you?

The same thing applies to other goals in your life. Mapping out your success not only makes achievement more attainable; it makes it occur in less time. To use the road map analogy again; you might, or might not, get to Houston eventually if you just kept driving south. However, if you planned your trip, taking the most direct route, you’d definitely be there a lot sooner. Tony Jeary International, with over 1000 clients, has a solid, proven track record of helping people get results faster. Tony Jeary says “Every problem is a thinking problem. Change your thinking; change your results.” He is the author of 40 books on how to reach extraordinary levels of success. Industry leaders and executive teams have discovered him as a secret weapon and they regularly fly into DFW to meet with him at his Results Center and they leave with clarity, focus and a plan to execute. After meeting with Tony in his unique, private, strategic acceleration studio, industry leaders will invariably say that Tony is a difference maker. More info at: www.resultscenter.co/.
